Marine Stadium Named to World Monuments Fund 2010 Watch List
The Marine Stadium has been named to the World Monuments Fund 2010 Watch List along with other sites such as Macchu Picchu and the Center Cities of Buenos Aires and Old Jerusalem.

Marine Stadium Receives Getty Grant

Story from the Miami Herald. Marine Stadium receives a $180,000 grant from the Getty Fondatiion to examine issues pertaining to the restoration of the concrete at the Stadium. Other grant recipients include the Sydney Opera House, Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House, and an apartment building in Paris designed by Le Corbousier.

Miami Herald, Presersvation Put on Hold

This article, written on July 25, states that our preservation plans have been put on hold due to a dispute witth the City Administraiton over terms. We are now taking a brief "Time-out" and we expect to be back to the City with a new proposal in early fall.

Restoratikon of the Marine Stadium is a large and complex task, and after 3 1/2 years of work, we fully intend to keep working until we are successful.
