The Getty Grant for the Marine Stadium has generated national and international publicity including this article in the Los Angeles Times.

Story from the Miami Herald. Marine Stadium receives a $180,000 grant from the Getty Fondatiion to examine issues pertaining to the restoration of the concrete at the Stadium. Other grant recipients include the Sydney Opera House, Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House, and an apartment building in Paris designed by Le Corbousier.

This is the eigth editorial that The Miami Herald has written in favor of our initiative to save and restore the Marine Stadium. It is the strongest one yet.

This is The Herald's 7th favorable editorial about our efforts to restore the Marine Stadium. While the editorial is favorable, we should note that Friends of Miami Marine Stadium was formed not just to restore the Stadium, but to have it operate for the benefit of the community.   We take this responsibility very seriously.

This article, written on July 25, states that our preservation plans have been put on hold due to a dispute witth the City Administraiton over terms. We are now taking a brief "Time-out" and we expect to be back to the City with a new proposal in early fall.

Restoratikon of the Marine Stadium is a large and complex task, and after 3 1/2 years of work, we fully intend to keep working until we are successful.

The Miami Marine Stadium is the basis for a video installation displayed during Art Basel. We expect that once the Marine Stadium is up and running, it will host major art events for Art Basel.
