Floating Stage Design Contest Entries

In January of 2011, Friends of Marine Stadium worked with DawnTown, to create a contest to design a new floating stage for the Marine Stadium. The contest was co-sponsored by the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Dade Heritage Trust, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. There were 90 entries to the contest, many of them international and the winners were announced at an awards dinner on May 2 at the Rusty Pelican Restaurant attended by 175 people. You can View The Contest Entries in Flickr

Click on the link below to see the winner and semi-finalists of the competition, as decided by our judging panel. This was an "ideas" contest and the ultimate decision on the Floating Stage will be made by the operator of the Marine Stadium.
